PROJECT INFORMATION
Peasenhall Primary Substation – 33kV Transformer Replacement
Client Name
UK Power Networks Services (UKPNS)
Principal Contractor
Falco Construction
Scope
Full Civil Engineering & Substation Infrastructure Works
Project Overview
NVM delivered civil engineering and infrastructure works as part of the upgrade of Peasenhall Primary Substation, supporting the replacement of two 33kV transformers.
The project was carried out within a live operational environment, requiring careful coordination to maintain continuous power supply. The transformers were replaced sequentially, with one unit remaining operational while the other was taken offline for replacement, ensuring uninterrupted energy distribution.
NVM was responsible for the full civil package, including excavation, duct installation, cable pulling, and preparation for new reinforced concrete transformer bases. All works were delivered in line with strict safety requirements and operational constraints typical of substation environments.
The project required a high level of precision and coordination to ensure all infrastructure was delivered correctly, supporting the safe and efficient operation of the upgraded substation.
