Client Name

UK Power Networks (UKPN)

Principal Contractor

Scope

Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Support

Project Overview

NVM supported the delivery of a major 132kV infrastructure project between Beddington and Sutton, providing civil engineering and excavation works along a complex cable route.

Operating within a highly congested urban environment, the project presented significant challenges in terms of access, ground conditions, and coordination with ongoing works. Despite these constraints, NVM successfully delivered approximately 3.5 km of trench excavation, along with backfilling and preparation for final reinstatement.

The wider project included substation works, tunnelling operations, cable installation, and construction of joint bays, forming part of a major investment in energy infrastructure.

NVM’s role focused on the safe and efficient execution of trenching and civil works, contributing to the successful progression of the overall programme.
